The other day, the hotels in Athens, OH opened up the reservations for Homecoming. Every year, my friends and I begin thinking about Homecoming on the Sunday of the year before while we are still in Athens. Every year, we have trouble getting a place to stay. It was so much easier when one of us worked there (yes, a few of us stayed on to be employees so we’d have a place to stay for Homecoming). Seriously, we love OU. I love OU.
We just want to go back to our beloved Ohio University!
So my friend got on the phone and this is what happened:
She called, and called, and called, and called. 51 times. To ONE of the hotels where we would appreciate residing for just a few days. We just want to breathe the clean Athens, OH air once more!!!!
So now we have had to create a few back up plans.
We are calling the hotels repeatedly.
We are posting messages on Facebook.
We are posting messages on Twitter.
Our bobcat pals are helping us out:

And there will be more posts about this issue to come. We WILL get housing for Homecoming. And we are willing to tweet for it!
If you manage a hotel in Athens, OH or work in Public Relations for a major hotel chain. Please get in touch with me soon. I can rock your social media socks off – and you have know idea how many people will back me up. If I can get people to buy me shots all night at Homecoming’s of the past, can you imagine what I can do for you now? Check out http://www.WomanlyWoman.com/PR for details on what I can do for your company as we seek SPONSORSHIP for Homecoming 2013.
It’s a little unconventional, but I’m willing to bet my tweets that there is an OU Alum sitting in their PR office waiting for an opportunity like this. Go Bobcats!
Oh… and… we’ll make your organization look REALLY good, because we’d like to help out the Homeless in Athens in some way in this process. We’d love to partner with you to brainstorm some ideas on how we can do that. Just imagine how freakin’ awesome that would look!? Freeeeeee PR!!!!! FREE! (Well in exchange for a couple of beds.) Give me a call! Email me!
