Political Viral Image 2012 Presidential Election

So I came across this image on Facebook and since I am a progressive Libertarian, I really have encountered the answers to these questions over the past few years.  I really have been paying attention.  But even I have forgotten the answers to some of these questions.

As a person who likes to be an informed, educated citizen (and also likes to educate others), I have decided to do some google research for you.  Now, I did learn in college that googling stuff doesn’t usually count.  But for the purpose of this blog post I just want to get across the general idea and allow you to continue to do more research on your own.

Here are the questions:

What is the NDAA and who signed it into law?

The National Defense Authorization Act greatly expands the power and scope of the federal government to fight the War on Terror, including codifying into law the indefinite detention of terrorism suspects without trial. Under the new law the US military has the power to carry out domestic anti-terrorism operations on US soil.

Who is Bradley Manning?

Bradley Edward Manning (born December 17, 1987) is a United States Army soldier who was arrested in May 2010 in Iraq on suspicion of having passed classified material to the whistleblower website WikiLeaks. He was charged with a number of offenses, including communicating national defense information to an unauthorized source and aiding the enemy, a capital offense, though prosecutors said they would not seek the death penalty.[1]

What was Operation Fast and Furious?

It is a scandelous gun-trafficking investigation organized by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.

In 2011, the bureau again came under scrutiny, this time over a botched gun-trafficking investigation in which federal agents knowingly let weapons slip across the Mexican border; two weapons later turned up in Arizona, where Brian Terry, an American border patrol agent, was killed in a shootout.

Who is Michael R. Talor and why is he Senior Advisor to the FDA Commissioner?

The one man who may be responsible for more food related illnesses and deaths than anyone in history, Michael R. Taylor, has just been promoted from US Food Safety Czar to Senior Advisor to the Commissioner of the FDA, a position which would enable the giant biotech company Monsanto to silently and legally feed cancer causing vegetables to every living person who is not 100% strictly organic.

President Obama has appointed the former Monsanto Vice President and lobbyist Michael R. Taylor to the throne. This is the same man who was Food Safety Czar for the FDA when Genetically Modified Organisms were allowed into the US food supply without undergoing a single test to determine their safety or risks. This is like putting a terrorist in charge of the world’s food supply.

Who is Hank Paulson?

When Paulson left the top job at Goldman Sachs to become Treasury Secretary in 2006, his big concern was whether he’d have an impact. He ended up almost single-handedly running the country’s economic policy for the last year of the Bush Administration. Impact? You bet. Positive? Not yet. The three main gripes against Paulson are that he was late to the party in battling the financial crisis, letting Lehman Brothers fail was a big mistake and the big bailout bill he pushed through Congress has been a wasteful mess.

Who was the first president to kill an American citizen (and his 16 year old son) by drone?

Abdulrahman al-Awlaki was 16 on the day he was killed. “I tried every legal means to stop the targeted killing of my son,” says his grandfather Nasser al-Awlaki, the father of Anwar al-Awlaki. ”But Eric Holder and Barack Obama are giving us a new definition of the due process of the law. How can they kill him without due process?”
