Another idea is to get a label printed that says:
Please save trees and money!
Remove me from your marketing list.
Then whenever you receive junk mail that includes an envelope, you can recycle what doesn’t have your personal information on it but then stick the sticker near your address on the card and mail it back to them so they will remove you from their marketing list!
That idea has really been helping me. I even use it for junk mail that does not include an envelope. I stick it in an envelope and even though I have to pay shipping, I look at it as saving the environment and saving me from having to go through so much junk mail!
